Anyone, regardless of playtime will be able to request a refund on the Apex Predator Pack, regardless of whether you purchased it as a bundle or separately. Having done this, we have worked with Steam to lift the restrictions on requesting a refund. We have integrated the Apex Predator Pack into the base game, for free. In hindsight, this was a mistake and one we'd like to fix. So we ended up creating some exclusive content as a bonus for players who wanted to support the game and get more from it. We focused on cosmetics, but we were concerned this wouldn't be enough. When we created the Digital Deluxe Edition of Roguebook, our goal was to create an option for those who wanted to show a little additional support for the game. The chances are, after those examples, the game will be saved. We’ve made a mistake and we’d like to apologize for it. Roguebook is always saving whether it’s between finding a chest on the map or defeating an enemy. The reception has been a mixture of good and bad, but there is a severe issue that we feel we need to address immediately: our launch DLC.

We have also come across a random encounter – highlighted by a scroll on the map – which allowed us to restore our characters to full health in Roguebook.Since the release of Roguebook on June 17th, we've received a lot of valuable feedback. But you can relax in the knowledge that, even if you take serious damage, as long as both characters don’t die, you’ll be restored to full health afterwards.
Of course, a boss is a tricky fight, and so you should always go in with as much health as you can. If this happens to you, not to worry - there are ways to recover, or regenerate your progress. If you can successfully beat an end-of-stage boss in Roguebook, both of your characters will be restored to full life. While at this point we have eliminated most of the problems that can result in the loss of progression, there seems to be one remaining that can occur when power is lost during a run, or when your computer completely crashes. These are, of course, random, so you can’t always guarantee on finding them in a run.
There’s also an item you can pick up that, when equipped to a character, will heal them by 6 after every combat encounter.

You might get a team upgrade that heals both party members by 3 after every fight. Various items you find while playing Roguebook will help heal your characters. They’re handy, but they’re scarce – at least at the beginning of the game – so use them wisely. Hearts stack, so you can have as many as you can find within your inventory at any one time. There are three main ways to heal your characters in Roguebook, which we’ll highlight below: Using heart pick-upsĪs you explore the map, you’ll come across hearts, which you can add to your inventory. You can heal in Roguebook, but you shouldn’t rely on being able to do it often. And so it’s not the type of game that you can continually heal yourself back to full health when you take damage. It’s part of the game’s innate design that you’re going to die, time and time again, only to jump back in and try to get a little bit further next time.
